PRP vs PRF

Understanding the Difference Between PRP and PRF

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) are both regenerative treatments that use your own blood to support healing, collagen production, and skin rejuvenation. The difference lies in how they are prepared and how they behave once applied.

PRP is processed to separate platelets from the plasma. It delivers a concentrated dose of growth factors quickly, making it well-suited for treatments that require an immediate regenerative boost.

PRF is processed more slowly, without additives, creating a fibrin matrix that gradually releases growth factors. This slower release supports longer-lasting stimulation, improved tissue quality, and a more sustained healing response.

In simple terms, PRP works quickly and PRF works steadily. Both are effective. The choice depends on the treatment area, desired outcome, and how the body is being asked to respond.
