Preparing for Your Treatment
Pre and Post Procedure Care Policy
At Elite Wellness MediSpa, our treatments are designed to work with your body, not against it. Preparation and aftercare play an important role in how your body responds, heals, and delivers results. The guidelines below help create the best internal conditions for your procedure and recovery.
Pre-Treatment Guidelines
To support optimal treatment outcomes, please review and follow the guidance below before your appointment.
In the 7 days prior to treatment, please avoid:
• Anti-inflammatory medications, unless prescribed by your healthcare provider
• Blood-thinning supplements such as Omega-3
• Cosmetic injectables, including Botox and dermal fillers
• Intense skin treatments such as chemical peels or aggressive resurfacing
• Vaccinations and steroid use where possible
• Intense or prolonged UV exposure, including tanning
These factors can increase inflammation, thin the skin, affect clotting, or make tissue more reactive, which may lead to increased bruising, irritation, or delayed healing.
In the 2 to 3 days prior to treatment, please avoid:
• Alcohol
• Smoking or vaping
Alcohol and smoking can impact circulation, hydration, and the body’s natural healing response.
If you are unsure whether something applies to you, we encourage you to reach out to our team before your appointment.
Post Treatment Guidelines
After your procedure, your body enters an active phase of healing and regeneration. Supporting this process helps protect your results and reduce unnecessary recovery time. Healing timelines can vary depending on the treatment and the individual's response.
For the first 2 to 3 days after treatment, please avoid:
• Alcohol
• Smoking or vaping
Until healing is fully underway and your provider advises otherwise, please avoid:
• Excessive heat, including saunas, steam rooms or hot baths
• Swimming pools, hot tubs, lakes or ocean water
• Direct sun exposure and tanning
• Intense exercise that significantly increases heat and circulation in the treated area
During this healing period, please also:
• Wear broad-spectrum sunscreen daily as advised
• Follow all treatment-specific aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner
• Avoid applying unapproved products to the treated area
Your provider will guide you on when it is appropriate to resume these activities based on your treatment type and how your skin is responding. These recommendations are designed to protect your results, support proper healing, and reduce the risk of irritation or complications.
Important Notes
These guidelines are not about restriction. They are about timing. Many of the items listed above are healthy and appropriate in everyday life, but pausing them briefly around your treatment allows your body to respond more effectively.
If you have medical conditions, are taking prescription medications, or have questions about how to prepare, please let us know in advance so we can guide you appropriately.
By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and understand these preparation and aftercare guidelines and agree to follow them to the best of your ability.
